Professional Training
Since 2006, Health Quarters has offered a professional training series, Connecting With Teens Around Sex, covering topics such as oral sex, STDs, and healthy sexuality in adolescent males.
We’re now beginning our second series, Meeting Teens Where They’re At. This series broadens the focus beyond sexuality education-related topics to reflect Health Quarters’ expertise in working with teens and organizations to promote a range of healthy behaviors.
Professional training enhances Health Quarters’ ability to work with - and through – community partners, who can communicate information to others in a variety of venues. Improved communication enhances our community partners’ ability to better serve their teenage clients while they expand their knowledge and skills in reproductive health issues and positive youth development.
MEETING TEENS WHERE THEY’RE AT:
The Latest in HIV Prevention for Young Women
Health Quarters presents the same training at two locations- in Lawrence on March 10 and in Beverly on March 11 - on the latest trends regarding HIV transmission and prevention among young women, as well as effective messages and communication strategies for this population.
